+ How is the bonus calculated?

When your friend joins impowered using your referral code, you are eligible to receive a bonus for hours worked by your referral. This person is now part of your team and considered a 1st Tier referral. You will earn a bonus of $1 for every hour worked by your friend.

If your friend invites their friend to join impowered using their referral code, you are eligible to receive a bonus for hours worked by that person. This person is now part of your team and considered a 2nd Tier referral. You will earn a bonus of 20 cents for every hour worked by your 2nd Tier referral.

+ When are bonus payments credited into my account?

Your bonus is scheduled for payment on the 25th of every month. This is payment for the previous month. If the 25th lands on a holiday or a weekend, payment may be early or delayed. Any questions related to your hourly wage should be directed to the provider you are working for.

+ Actual hours vs chargeable hours?

This rarely happens, but it is possible. Below is a scenario when this might occur.

Scenario: Your friend is currently an employee with Company A who is not a partnered provider with impowered. Your friend joins the impowered app using your referral code. This means you are eligible to receive a bonus for hours worked by your friend. Company A then later partners with impowered. Company A will not be charged for hours worked by your friend since he/she was an existing employee of Company A when they joined the app. This means there is no bonus for hours your friend works with Company A.

Company B is currently a partnered provider with impowered. Your friend also becomes an employee with Company B after joining the app with your referral code. You are paid a bonus for your friend’s hours worked with Company B.

The hours your friend worked for both Company A and Company B are the “Actual Hours”, while the hours your friend worked for Company B are the “Chargeable Hours”.

+ How is the leaderboard calculated?

The leaderboard is the total number of hours worked by your team (1st Tier and 2nd Tier referrals) in the previous month.

+ What is a point score and how is it calculated?

Your point score starts at 1,000 (perfect score).

Each month you get a score, but the score that appears on your page is the weighted average of the past eight months. Last month is weighted more than eight months ago. You always have an opportunity to get your score back on track. If your point score took a hit in January, by October the month of January is no longer reflected on your cumulative point score.

Again, you start with a perfect score and only lose points if you do the following:

Requesting time off within two weeks without an approved replacement (if their suggestion is approved to work, you do not lose points). You tag your replacement when you submit time-off through the impowered app. Your replacement has to accept the shift for your score not to be impacted. Your point score can also be negatively impacted when you do not complete the onboarding checklist within the allotted time.

+ What is the eligibility requirement to receive a bonus?

To be eligible for your monthly bonus, you must work a minimum of 15 hours with partnered impowered providers in a given month.

Example: If you work 0 hours in the month of January, you will not receive a bonus for hours worked by your team in the month of January. If you then work 15 hours in February, you will receive a bonus for hours worked by your team.

+ Is the bonus I receive taxed?

impowered does not withhold taxes on bonuses paid to you. You are responsible for meeting all local, state, and federal tax obligations. impowered will provide you with a 1099 form in January for the previous year that you will use for tax purposes.

+ Can my referral join another team?

No, once they join impowered using your referral code, they cannot be referred by anyone else.

Also, you can only invite friends and family to join impowered using your referral code if they are not already a user in the app, so it is important they use your code when joining.

+ Am I a caregiver of impowered?

No. You will become an employee of the partnered providers in the impowered app.

+ Who pays my wage?

The provider who approved your shift application pays your wage for the hours you work. impowered pays you a bonus for any hours worked by your referrals (team).
